London Bridge Beard & Mustache Competition

The London Bridge Beard and Mustache Competition, Oct. 18, 2025

The London Bridge Beard and Mustache Competition is our oldest contest here in Lake Havasu City which is hosted under the London Bridge. Historically, this nonprofit event takes place during London Bridge Days in October and allows the public to spectate for free some of the most amazing beards and mustaches from both residents and visitors to our city.

This year’s contest will include both men and women competitors. The women’s category is made up of facial artistic and homemade crafted beard entries. These beards are made from small construction materials, ornaments, natural looking hair and jaw dropping artistic creations. National beard and mustache judges from Arizona, Nevada and California will be judging the event. There will be over 16 categories to enter and be judged. 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place awards will be presented to the winners from each category.

The Lake Havasu Boat Patrol, a nonprofit corporation and Britton’s Auto, Truck & RV are the primary hosts for the event this year and all remaining proceeds after expenses will go to two nonprofits (501C3), The Kids on the Colorado River educational program and the Lake Havasu Freedom Foundation located here in Lake Havasu City.

Last minute registration will be from 11:00am to 12:00pm. Judging will begin promptly at 12:00pm and run to 3:00pm. (See event schedule for category judging times)

Awards will be announced from 3:30pm to 4:30pm. Contestants can register online beginning July 18, 2025. Web address to follow. Additional registration information to be announced. Contestants outside Lake Havasu City limits are welcome to compete. The contest is intended to expand the event to a national level. Local businesses are encouraged to sponsor one or more of the 32 awards available for 1st & 2nd place winners. 1^st place winners will have their name placed on a memorial brick under the London Bridge for life.  1^st place also includes a cruise for the winner and one guest aboard the historic Dixie Belle paddle-wheeler shortly after the main event. As a bonus surprise for spectators, Guiness Book World Record Holder Antonio Restivo will be returning to judge the event and blow his award winning 26ft. flame from his lips, weather permitting! We will again be addressing all the appropriate precautions required by the LHFD.  It is truly a showstopper! The event will host music and guest speakers, and both contestants and spectators will be able to check out and support onsite restaurants and businesses surrounding the bridge.

A minimal number of chairs will be made available and will fill up quickly so spectators are encouraged to bring their own chairs to this amazing historic outdoor event.
